Between 3-5 PM today, a thin band of snow will move across the metro from the northwest. It is now entering the St. Cloud area. It should give us a coating to a half inch of snow, just enough to mess with the PM rush hour.
The front coming through today will reinforce the cold air for the rest of this work week, though it will not be quite as cold as what we just had. Some milder (near normal) air should arrive for Saturday and Sunday, before another cold blast next week.
No major snow storms are on the 10-day forecast horizon for the metro at this point. A couple of clipper-type systems could give us an inch or so each in that period. Except for a couple of brief warm-ups to near freezing, it looks like we’ll stay a bit below average in temperature for the period.
