Turnamic Binding Information and Tutorial

If you have Fischer and Rossignol skis there is a good chance you have Turnamic bindings. This article touches on how they work and how they move.

Movable bindings have grown greatly in popularity and are widely adopted on most cross country skis. The development of Turnamic bindings emerged as a response to the evolving needs of cross-country skiers.

Why to adjust bindings: Adjusting the binding position allows for personalized performance optimization. By sliding the binding forward or backward on the ski, skiers can fine-tune the balance between grip and glide. Moving the binding forward enhances grip, providing more traction during uphill climbs or challenging terrain. Conversely, moving the binding backward promotes better glide, allowing for smoother and faster skiing on flatter or downhill sections.

How to clip in: These are an automatic step-in bindings so all you need to do is push the front pin of your boot into the hooks. To get out you turn the mechanism left or right in front of where your boot hooks in.

How to adjust: There is a small tab underneath where you step into the binding. Pull back on the tab until it opens fully. Slide the entire binding forward or backwards. There is a range of -3 to +3 that you can set your binding at. Close the tab completely so you can no longer see the word "close".
